The Project

  1. The goal of my project was to make a headphone
  2. The headphones were made from scratch out of paper magnet and ware, glue, and an audio jack.

The physics of sound

  1. The sound is caused when an object by the vibration of some object or even air itself.
  2. The speed that the object vibrates determines that how well the object works and the pitch.

Basic concept

  1. A headphone is actually an example of a machine called a small loudspeaker or solenoid.
  2. This machine simply moves back and forth.

How My Headphone work

  1. Music is recorded as signal consisting of  two this on and of.
  2. When your phone turns the electricity in its audio jack on, the electricity causes the spool of wire to act like a magnet.
  3. As a result, the spool of wire and the permanent magnet attract each other.
  4. The permanent magnet is attached to the diaphragm.
  5. When your phone turns the electricity in its audio jack off, the spool of wire stops acting like a magnet.
  6. When the electricity in the phone audio jack is off, the permanent is pulled back to its original position by the paper diaphragm.
  7. As the electricity turns on and off, the diaphragm vibrates.
  8. This vibration produces noise/sound.

Performance

The sound of prototype #1 it was not so loud,  you can only listen to it, with much attention.

Headphone 1.8: what are headphones, actually?

Requirements of A sound machine

If you wanted to make a machine that could produce every possible sound, it would need to be able to vibrate.

In order to be able to make all of the sounds that a human can hear, the machine would need to vibrate at a frequency of up to 20,000Hz.

What is a solenoid?

1.A solenoid consists of two time of magnet and electric and one of the magnetic is, magnetic field similar to that of a bar magnet. Such coils, called solenoids.

2. A solenoid can move.

3.You control a solenoid by turning it “on” or “of”.

Making a solenoid vibrate

1.If you repeatedly turned a solenoid off quickly, it would vibrate.

2.The faster you turned it on or off, the faster that the work by vibration.

3.When your phone plays music, what kind of electrical signal does it send you headphones? The music goes to the headphone “on” and “off”.

What are headphones?

Based on your answer above, what are headphones, actually? Headphone is what we use for listen  to music.
