The Project
- The goal of my project was to make a headphone
- The headphones were made from scratch out of paper magnet and ware, glue, and an audio jack.
The physics of sound
- The sound is caused when an object by the vibration of some object or even air itself.
- The speed that the object vibrates determines that how well the object works and the pitch.
Basic concept
- A headphone is actually an example of a machine called a small loudspeaker or solenoid.
- This machine simply moves back and forth.
How My Headphone work
- Music is recorded as signal consisting of two this on and of.
- When your phone turns the electricity in its audio jack on, the electricity causes the spool of wire to act like a magnet.
- As a result, the spool of wire and the permanent magnet attract each other.
- The permanent magnet is attached to the diaphragm.
- When your phone turns the electricity in its audio jack off, the spool of wire stops acting like a magnet.
- When the electricity in the phone audio jack is off, the permanent is pulled back to its original position by the paper diaphragm.
- As the electricity turns on and off, the diaphragm vibrates.
- This vibration produces noise/sound.
Performance
The sound of prototype #1 it was not so loud, you can only listen to it, with much attention.
